Telavi Wine Cellar have not produced this PDO wine since 2005, and they are one of the few companies to do so in any case. Now four years old, this example is reaching its peak of maturity and has hints of coral red in its colour. Its aromas combine notes of ripe fruit and oakiness, with the latter growing in intensity after tasting. This is a quite strong and charismatic wine, full of tannins and with a long finish. It will certainly please those who love Saperavi wine aged in oak barrels, and should be served with grilled or charcoal-grilled meats or game.
