Rkatsiteli, the Antadze family’s Wine Cellar, 2011

A very handsome wine with lustrous amber and fire-red colours. Made from Rkatsiteli grapes grown in the Manavi micro-zone, which has given it a very effective bouquet with a touch of saffron and dry leaves. Full flavour combined with the spiciness characteristic of new wines and which normally softens over time. This wine could be described as an exemplary Kakhetian wine—very serious and full of character. Would go well with khashlama (boiled beef with herbs and spices) or with other classic Kakhetian dishes.
