The strength of Merlot grapes is immediately apparent in this cherry-coloured wine. Notes of pepper and smoke emerge as soon as this wine is poured, followed by the aroma of blackberries so characteristic of Saperavi grapes. This Kondoli was left to ferment in oak barrels, and was later decanted into and left to age in newly-made oak barrels. A delicious, very well-balanced wine with a long finish.
