The number of traditional wines made from the Mtsvane kakhuri variety of grape has increased of late. This amber-coloured wine was first tasted a year and a half ago, and it has become more refined since. Traces of oak were more present then, and they have now blended harmoniously with notes of dried apricots, sweet spices and iris. Would go well with mushrooms, chakapuli (stewed lamb with herbs and sour plums) or fish fried with spices.
