This wine was made from Saperavi grapes grown in the village of Tibaani close to the town of Sighnaghi. The grapes used were over-ripe viz. they had already turned into raisins. A brick-red wine, very sweet and viscous, with clear notes of dried fig, raisins and churchkhela (walnuts coated in grape juice). Quite a long finish with notes of vegetation such as dried green spices. This is a very strong, tangy wine, which would be excellent served as a digestif.
