Chinuri, Pheasant’s Tears, 2011

A pale amber-coloured wine with golden hues which was made in qvevri according to traditional methods from the Chinuri variety of grape picked in the Mukhrani Valley in Kartli. This wine reveals sweet notes from the very first sip—notes of sugar-coated nuts, later followed by dried apple and dried flowers. An excellent gastronomic wine which would go well with many dishes such as meat salads, khabidzgina (cheese pie with potato), fried fish or chicken.
