Mtsvane, Pheasant’s Tears, 2011

The third generation of Pheasant’s Tears Mtsvane wine once again confirms that making wine in qvevri from Mtsvane kakhuri grapes gives special results. This amber-coloured wine is still new and is still developing. Mostly aromas of vegetation, dried flowers and more aromatic notes of rosemary and fresh walnuts. Slight smokiness. Full flavour with a relatively long finish and pleasant tannins. Would go well with beef stew with walnuts or aubergines with walnuts.
