Traditionally, Tbilvino’s Khvanchkara wines always maintain their ‘style’. This is a fresh and lively wine—cornelian-cherry-red rather than ruby-red—and its colour is more intense than that of Khvanchkara wines of previous years. Notes of red plums and damson dominate its bouquet, and when tasting are joined by sweet spices and hints of cake. Tannins are more prominent in this year’s Khvanchkara wine, which suits it. This wine is distinguished by its long finish.
