Château Lipartiani, Khareba, 2011

Khareba’s new premium wine, combining two of Georgia’s viticultural and wine-making regions—viz. Kakheti and Imereti. This greenish straw-yellow wine is made from a blend of Kakhetian Rkatsiteli and Imeretian Krakhuna grapes. Its first aroma is a pleasant one of oak, which becomes more present in its flavour. When combined with the flavours characteristic of these two varieties of grape, this makes for an intriguing mix of honey, roasted hazelnuts and dried citrus fruit. This full-bodied, complete wine has a long finish.
