Georgian white-grape variety mainly grown in Kakheti region. Khihvi has a medium growing season and its productivity amounts to 4-6 tons per-hectare. It is used for making both, classic (European) and typical Kakhetian, amphora (qvevri) fermented wines along with illustrious fortified “Khikhvi.”
Principal micro-zones: Kardenakhi, Gurjaani.
