Tsolikouri, Kakhetian Traditional Wine-making, 2011

This light, straw-coloured wine with pleasant, fresh and lively aromas was made from Tsolikouri grapes grown in the western Georgian region of Lechkhumi. First aromas of fresh pear, followed by melon and white plum. This splendid summer wine is quite acidic, and should be served well chilled. It has a long finish, and its flavour contains many interesting nuances. Enjoy with boiled river fish, vegetable salads, cold boiled chicken or cheese pie.
