Tsitska, the Nikoladze family’s wine cellar, 2011

Made from Tsitska grapes grown in the Nikoladze family’s vineyard in the village of Nakhshirghele. The creator of this wine—Ramaz Nikoladze—follows the tradition of organic wine-making and only uses external preparations to treat his vines. This is a golden wine with piercing acidity and vivacity, perfect as a summer wine if served well chilled. Distinguished by its strong herbal notes, which are dominated by the aromas of fruit flowers and grass. Goes well with light salads or with various pkhali (the leaves of kohlrabi or nettle, greenbriar, etc. mixed with ground walnuts).
