Tsitska, Khareba, 2011

This wine is so fresh that it resembles sparkling wine when poured into a glass. The Tsitska grapes from which it was made were grown and picked in the Sviri micro-zone—one of Imereti’s best. The wine has piercing yet pleasant levels of acidity, and the aromas of pineapple and lemon are immediately apparent in its bouquet. If served well-chilled, this wine would grace any summer table, or could equally be enjoyed as an apéritif to awaken people’s appetites. It would go well with summer salads, including salads dressed with lemon juice and balsamic vinegar, or with boiled fish or seafood.
