Krakhuna, Khareba, 2011

Khareba’s 2011 Krakhuna was made from the eponymous local Imeretian variety of grapes grown in the gorge of the Kvirila River. Pale straw in colour with hints of green and lemon yellow. When tasting, notes of vegetation at first, followed by white fruit. A fresh and rough wine with high levels of acidity. Would best be served with cheese pie, pkhali (beetroot and spinach lives with ground walnuts), fish with spices or boiled chicken.
