Saperavi, Jakeli Wines, 2008

The dominant aromas of this brilliant wine are those of pepper, berries and black plums, finishing off with strong mineral aromas. This red wine has a dark, raspberry-red sheen. It pours thickly and leaves a high-water mark on the sides of the glass. It has the distinctive flavour of young wine, which blends nicely with its oaky nature. This wine will become more refined and "deeper" in 2-3 years' time, and has great potential for ageing.
