Rkatsiteli, the DarsaValleydze family’s wine cellar, 2010

For another wine to emerge from Kvemo (Lower) Kartli is good news for Georgian wine lovers. Made in qvevri according to traditional Georgian methods from Rkatsiteli grapes grown in the village of Tamarisi near the town of Marneuli. Fermentation in contact with grape marc and stalks for six months. Amber-coloured with notes of freshness in its bouquet, which combines herbs with fried hazelnuts.
