Mukuzani, Kakhetian Traditional Wine-making, 2010

This appellation wine made from Saperavi grapes first attracts attention with its raspberry-red colour. Hints of oak at first, followed by garden flowers and notes of fruit dominated by cherry. This is a new, fresh wine—quite strong with a long finish. It should be left to “breathe” before pouring. Will go well with beef steaks and fried lamb.
