It has been a long time since a wine from the village of Martkopi has appeared on the Georgian market. This wine will hopefully inspire others and lead to more small wine cellars emerging in other regions which have not reached their potential in terms of viticulture and wine-making. This violet-coloured wine has strong aromas of ripe fruit and chacha (Georgian grappa) which later give way to exotic flavours of crushed damson and grape preserve. This is a delicious wine, rich in tannins, which would go well with spicy meat dishes or lamb kebabs.
