Manavi, Kakhetian Traditional Wine-making, 2011

Kakhetian Traditional Wine-making is another company which produces this appellation wine. This Manavi has a light straw colour and pleasant aromas of white fruit such as vineyard peaches, white plums and gooseberries, and delicate herbal notes (coriander). This is a delicious wine, nicely acidic and with an interesting finish. It would be best served with goats’ cheese, fish salads or chikhirtma (stewed chicken with a sauce made of egg, vinegar, flour and herbs).
