The wine is made from Kakhuri Mtsvane grapes harvested in Manavi micro-zone. This wine is pale-straw in the glass, with decent aromas of dried flowers, fresh-mown hay, grain and a hint of fungus and minerals. Its solid, palate cleansing acidity becomes less noticeable after subsequent approaches though the finish is somewhat brief. Manavi works fine with “gouda” cheese, mushrooms, eggplants, and with heartier fare such as poultry and steaks. It can also be a good companion to fruits in summertime.
