Khikhvi, Kindzmarauli Wine Cellar, 2012

After a pause of several years, this wine is the Kindzmarauli Wine Cellar’s new Khikhvi vintage. Straw-yellow with lemony hues, it was made according to the classic method and has quite familiar initial aromas---predominantly of vegetation e.g. box-tree, conifers, etc.---as well as notes of peach jam and white plums. This is a fresh and joyful wine with high levels of acidity and an interesting finish.
