Khareba ‘Rosé’, Khareba, 2012

This rosé wine by Khareba is truly distinguished by its features and flavour, which are characteristic of the three varieties of grape from which it was made—viz. Saperavi, Aladasturi and Otskhanuri sapere. A strawberry-red colour, it is very impressive, and its bouquet is dominated by the aromas of red plums, guelder rose and redcurrant. This is a highly acidic, joyful wine, quite strong and dry, which would go well with dishes ranging from charcuterie or meat dishes to salads.
