Aleksandrouli, Aleksandreuli, 2008

At four years, this cherry-red Aleksandrouli with purple edges is already quite old. First notes of ripe black pear as well as black mulberries and dried morello cherries. This wine is at its peak of maturity despite the fact that strong tannins are still present in its finish. Serve with pork fried with ham from Racha, lobiani (kidney bean pie) with ham from Racha, or with fried beef. Must be decanted beforehand.
