16/16, Duruji Valley, 2009

A liqueur-like wine made from over-ripe Saperavi grapes (which had already turned into raisins) with the addition of wine spirits. This wine was left to age in oak barrels for six months; this has resulted in a strong, warm and very sweet drink with notes of dried figs and fig jam. Also hints of jujube and sweet spices. Brick-red. Would be perfect after dinner or with desserts.
