Yesterday, on March 15 in Dusseldorf, Germany was opened the world’s one of the most large-scale wine exhibitions ProWein Dusseldorf . This event dates back from 1994 and Georgian wine companies are taking part there from 2000 year already.
At ProWein 2015 an unprecedented number of big and medium Georgian companies producing wines and spirits is presented, in total 19 companies. Georgian stands are located on a quite big area (156 square meters), where one can notice a big number of visitors from the first day of the exhibition opening.
Yesterday at the opening of ProWein 2015 was held the tasting of Georgian wines. There was displayed a selection of wines made according to the European style as well as qvevri wines. The last was acquainted to guests by Rudolf Knoll, the chief editor of the magazine Vinum. To sum up, yesterday turned out to be quite eventful and prolific.
There are some important meetings around the theme of Georgian wines scheduled for today in scopes of the exhibition. Among these meetings should be particularly noted the Georgian wine masterclass at 15:30, which will be led by the wine expert from the USA, Lisa Granik (MW).
