Mtsvane, Khareba, 2011

Many people have recently argued that the Mtsvane kakhuri variety of grape is the most suited to the production of classic, European-style white wines. This Mtsvane enriches the so-called “Kakhetian European” group of wines, and the choice of table wines such as this will hopefully increase over time. It has a very light straw-yellow colour and aromas of white peaches and raw hazelnuts. This is a fresh and very new wine with high acidity, perfect for summer, and would go well with light salads or boiled white fish. It could also be drunk as an aperitif.
