This Rkatsiteli was made from grapes grown in the village of Artana in the Napareuli micro-zone along the left bank of the Alazani River. A traditional qvevri wine, it draws attention to itself with the very first pour, when it bursts into a beautiful, bright and lustrous amber-yellow. Its bouquet is dominated by the aroma of fresh, green walnuts, followed by Georgian kharcho spices (traditionally used along with walnuts in meat stews). This wine is high in tannins and quite acidic, with the hot temper of youth, and would go well with traditional Kakhetian meat dishes.
